A bit of a grizzly, grey and damp day at the Nene Valley for my first charter on the railway. Not the best of weather conditions for taking photos in but still. I've only ever been to the Nene Valley Railway once before and that it was only a flying visit en-route to another destination so I had not seen anything else of the line bar what I had seen at Wansford station and yard. To be honest, I was little disappointed as the line down to Peterborough is straight and flat with very few places to take photographs. The one or two locations that do exist are only good for the standard three quarter shots of the loco and train. Some serious pruning needs to be carried out to open out some views from the surrounding countryside and add a bit of variation! Most of the other locations are around Wansford station so the photography does seem to become a little repetitive. More locations need to be opened up! Especially as it was a photo charter!
