A rather disappointing day as far as steam effects from the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe. It was a great pity as the sun was actually shining for once and with cold temperatures we were expecting a better show that we got! Not only that but the return journey was blighted by a class 47 diesel stuck on the front end. The reason being was that on the outward NONE STOP leg she had started some lineside fires and to save creating a few more on the return this was the solution decided upon. I bet there were a few unhappy passengers on this outing!
