A bit of a damp start for this Russ Hillier photo charter on the Severn Valley Railway. Rain had been forecast in the early morning and for once the Met office had got it correct! As well as the rain being a problem the day didn't quite start as well as hoped as the flying Pig had been parked on the wrong track the night before effectively blocking our loco on the Rock and the train in platform 3. The train had also been left with one chocolate and cream coach in the set and that had to be removed as well. So there was quite a lot of shunting around to be done before we could get away. Not that it mattered that much as the rain was persisting down anyway! One or two images were captured during this part of the day so not all was lost!
We did manage to get some sun. As usual this happened at Lunchtime while the crew were having a break but some shots were achieved in sunshine at Bridgnorth and Oldbury viaduct!
I have created a gallery of images which I think work best in Black n White. If you would like to see these please follow this link to the collection... http://rickeborall.zenfolio.com/p508611386
