The Welsh Marches steam tours featuring 6024 King Edward I on Pathfinders Marches Monarch rail tour from Eastleigh to Shrewsbury and 60163 Tornado on a Steam Dreams Cathedrals Express from London Paddington to Shrewsbury. There was also a diesel tour operating as well 1Z86/88 with Royal Skip 67005'Queens Messenger' hauling a UKRail tour to the Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre. An Odd freight movement saw EWS liveried class 66 150 hauling a rescued Network rail engineering train and Breakdown crane along with its rake of china clay wagons. I decided on the area around Stokesay castle near Craven arms. And then moved up towards Shrewsbury at Bayston hill for a twilight attempt at the return of the the King Hence the poor quality!
The low light pictures of the King are first class,I noted you had a picture printed of the WC and Sir Lamiel at the photo shoot on the GC, in the December issue of Steam Railway, and as it was in B&W looked every inch the part!!
